Below are a few screen shots of DayBreak to give you some idea of the look and feel of the program.

Starting DayBreak

Main screen at start-up

This is the main screen you will be presented with upon starting DayBreak. You have the grid that will display all the tasks for the date range you specify (default to all but you can change this to just todays tasks if you want) and a toolbar for manipulating the displayed tasks (along with the standard Windows menu of course).

Add And Edit Tasks

Add a Task

The add and edit screens are essentially the same, as you can see. The edit screen does, however, have two extra tabs that contain start and stop details and information about user definable chargeable time for the task as a whole. As you can see, a task contains several pieces of information, including a title, type, code and notes. These are all user editable and the last few items entered in the drop down boxes will be kept as a history for ease of entry next time.

Edit a Task

Each task can have any number of start and stop times (called slots or time slots). This enables you to stop a task then restart it later without having to setup a new task. The individual start and stop times appear on the second page of the edit screen and each slot has a section for separate comments. The edit screen shows the total elapsed time (for this task), in the caption. You may add, edit and delete time slots as required.

Main screen with Tasks

Once you have entered one or two tasks the main grid will begin to fill with you current tasks as shown. The grid can be sorted by clicking on the appropriate column header so, for example, you can have tasks sorted alphabetically or by start time - you choose.
